Bac-entos® Acute contains a unique combination of oral microbial strains producing antimicrobial peptides. Beneficial oral bacteria Streptococcus salivarius SAL21, Streptococcus salivarius K13, Lactobacillus salivarius MCTs are characterized by increased production of antimicrobial peptides contributing to maintaining a balanced microbiota in the oral cavity. Bacteria of the species Streptococcus salivarius and Lactobacillus salivarius are a natural part of the oral microbiota. 6′-Sialyllactose is an oligosaccharide found in breast milk. It has the ability to mimic receptors on mucosal cells that are used by some pathogens (e.g. viruses).
